Its no secret that web hosting is an important part of having a successful business online. Without the proper web hosting, there is no way anybody can make a living online. This article covers just some of the important things to consider when choosing web hosting company.

First and foremost, they need to be reliable. You need to have host that a strong history of uptime. There is nothing worse than going to your very own website and seeing nothing but an error page.

Another factor is that sites have to be quick to load when people are browsing them on the net. Slow, lagging websites equal internet death. Nobody has the patience to wait for your site to load, even if it’s on dial up.

You also have to be able to contact them any hour of the and any day of the week. Your website is open 24 hours a day, so should your web hosting company. If you’re not getting 24 hour support from your current provider, it’s time to call it quits.

If the cPanel, that’s another great bonus. cPanel has a ton of tools to help your website. Great tools like creating email accounts for your domains, as well as really reliable traffic analysis software.

If they have Fantastico, that’s another super bonus. With fantastico, you get dozens of really neat scripts that you can automatically put on your website. Scripts, for forums, autoresponders, blogging software, surveys, etc..

No contracts are also important. Many hosting companies don’t do that anymore, but it used to be fairly common that you had to sign a full one year contract with your web host. If they offer reliable service, then there is no need for a web host to force someone into a contract.

These are just some of the many factors that go into deciding what kind of web hosting you want.
